A strong earthquake in Wenchuan County of Sichuan Province has rocked China on May 12, 2008. The earthquake measured 7.8 on the Richter scale according to China’s State Seismological Bureau was felt in the thousands-kilometers-away provinces or regions including Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Hongkong, and Taiwan among others. It had left nearly 10,000 people dead by afternoon Monday, and the death toll is expected to climb as rescue efforts are intensifying. It also buried thousands of middle school students in Sichuan as the tremor caused buildings to fall.and hundreds of thousands of people become dangerous of destitute and homeless.
On 14th afternoon, “Sunward love donation---Sunward aid equipment to desert area” ceremony and succor teams depart ceremony grandly held in Sunward industry park. All staff in Sunward attended in the ceremony. Sunward donated total value of more than ￥5 million of cash and machinery equipments to help of Sichuan quake victims while a 12-menber volunteer team had been set up to help with rescue work.
Sunward’s leader said: 'I believe that if only we overcome difficulty with confidence, courage and strength , we will be able to overcome this particular earthquake disaster and go all out to help rebuild their homeland.'
